Preserving four years of climate action
Planet One was a global youth climate justice initiative: a collaboration between Fryshuset, Greenpeace, and Armenian Progressive Youth, active across six countries from 2021 to 2024. I joined in 2024 as an ESC volunteer, in the project's final phase.
The goal was to preserve what had been built so it could keep inspiring others after the funding ended. That meant two products with a shared purpose but different audiences: a printed Handbook for the public, and a Notion Toolkit for youth workers wanting to replicate the model.
The handbook
A book designed as inspiration and tool
Designed from scratch within Planet One's existing visual identity. The priority was navigation: a color-coded sidebar along the page edge signals chapters at a glance, and recurring layout templates keep things consistent across 140 pages.

The content splits in two: a Concept half covering the project's strategy and how each makerspace operated, and an Inspiration half collecting youth-led stories from across the network. Gathering that material meant coordinating with partners in six countries, dealing with low-resolution images, GDPR compliance, slow responses, and language gaps. A lot of quick adapting.
Finding an eco-conscious print supplier was a project requirement. We also had a fixed deadline tied to the project's close date, so production had to go right the first time.
